Dusk falls,
lights aglow.
Wind stalls,
pedals flow.
An evening ride begins.
Breath tightens,
muscles burn.
Senses heighten,
pedals turn.
Writing verses on the wing.
Creatures rise,
temperatures fall.
Nightbirds chastise,
backroads call.
